La Purísima Mission State Historic Park will host a Candlelight Tour sometime in the future. The guided walking tour of the mission moves back in time to the 1820s. Guests walk from scene to scene witnessing an evening in the life of the residents. At the end of their tour, guests will enjoy a full dinner and dessert before returning to the present.
As a guest, there are many things to note and new things to consider. The guided walking tour takes about 90 mins. to see the scenes and to enjoy the dinner. The tour involves walking on uneven surfaces. As the sun sets, the temperature falls. Please dress accordingly. The ticket reserves a space on a tour departing at a specific time. The first 2 tours happen in full or partial daylight. For the later tours pathways and scenes feature the historic ambience of candlelight. All tours follow the same route. See the tour times below.
Tickets are $45 per person and are limited to 6 years and older. Your arrival time for the event should be 15 mins prior to your ticketed tour time. The event will happen rain or moonshine, hot or cold.
